Heritage Construction Advice

Studio Trudeau acts as the nominated heritage consultant during construction, providing advice to all parties to ensure compliance with the conditions of consent, the NCC, and heritage conservation best practice.

The practice works collaboratively with project managers and contractors to develop pragmatic solutions—including technical specifications, construction methodologies, and product recommendations—that enable projects to proceed without compromising the site’s heritage values.

Conservation Documentation

Studio Trudeau prepares detailed condition assessments and measured drawings of existing buildings and proposed interventions.

In conjunction with measured surveys, we use drone photography and rectified photogrammetry to produce accurate and appropriate drawings and details.

These drawings can also integrate input from structural and remedial engineers, BCA consultants, specialist conservators, and trades.

The result is documents that can guide and inform conservation works, specialist trades, project schedules and costings, to ensure that conservation works are correctly specified and communicated.
